The Flavor of Surprise

It's 28th June -- 11pm.
I am waiting for the clock to put one hand over other so that ma bday wd start, Ravi wd wish me, I'll attend few calls and then I'll doze off. Very very sleepy I was.
What? B'Day cake??..Hmm...already checked the fridge...no traces of the cake.


My birthday used to be a very special day for me, I would myself take efforts to make this day wonderful for my self. But since last two years...something happened which made me realize how unlucky this day is for my family.
I have lost all the zeal to celebrate and feel special on that 'special' day. Infact, I have started having that guilt feeling of being happy on my birthday.

Waiting, wondering eventually my gaze turned towards the door. I dont know what was my first reaction.. shocked.. surprised... full of questions... whatever...but i could see my bro standing on the door with a bouquet in hand. I again checked the clock. It was 11:15.
Dreaming?? No, I was wide awake.

Cdnt believe...he came all the way from mysore... I was wondering if he has taken a day's off for my birthday. Afterall, I know how precious a chutti is. Reply was 'No'
Wow!! He came just to celebrate MY 12 '0' clock :)
Senti?? Ya I was...a lil bit...but more than that, I was happy :) So very happy.

Then  Ravi started his usual tantrums. He did not bring the cake. He took a piece of bread and wrote 'Happy' on it with chocolate sauce. (The bread piece is not big enough to accomodate 'Happy Birthday Shona' :P)
With gaurav and ravi talking, time passed quickly and it was 12. Ravi made me cut his candle lit bread piece :P...oops...the cake :D
Cutting was fun, but no body was interested in tasting it. Ravi had a solution. God knows from where he took out another cake...an actual cake, black-forest..my favo :)
And so, I got a chance to cut another mid-night cake :) :)

Then we danced on the tunes of Michael Jackson and Mariah Carie till late night. Danced bole to...we did bhangra on jkson and dandia on carie :P
Good fun it was!

It was such a brilliant begining of my Day.
